Lectures have formally resumed in some departments to complete the remaining part of the second semester 2008/2009 session, while some are yet to resume. The Federal Government has finally reached an agreement to meet with the demands of the striking ASUU members. This led to the strike been suspended for just 2 weeks after which they will go back if and only if the federal government failed to fulfil their promise. |

The Vice Chancellor of the university in his speech on the last founders day celebration said that he wants to fully embark on ICT in UNN. Following his speech, he had already hosted some personality from Holland whose mission was to inspect the ICT in the university (problems and prospects) for further improvement.
